Rooibos, Honeybush, Buchu and friends...
Direct from the organic South Africican farms comes a bunch of wonderful Rooibos Herbal tisanes. (and friends...!)
Rooibos, meaning "red bush"; scientific name Aspalathus linearis, is a broom-like member of the legume family of plants growing in South Africa's western cape area.
Generally oxidised, a little like traditional black teas, they make a great healthy ,tasty, non-caffeinated alternative to Tea, with a beautifully coloured liquor and fine floral and honey notes that can be drunk with or without milk/honey/sugar.
High in anti-oxidants, vitamin C and flavinoids etc, Rooibos is purported to relieve stress, assist sleep, clear the skin, boost immunity and balance blood sugar; all in a tasty drink free of 'the buzz'. (if that floats your boat or are looking for something to drink in the evenings....)
In stock at The Tea Catcher (all orgainic)-
Rooibos, Green Rooibos (un-oxidised), Rooibos & Vanilla (ground bean), Rooibos & Buchu (another fab. South African. Plant w hints of berries & wintergreen), Rooibos Masala “Spiced Chai”, Rooibos, Rosehip & Hibiscus (great iced!), Honeybush (Cyclopia) (so called due to the aroma of the flowers, a little stronger than Rooibos) as well as a 100% Buchu bag for those that miss home..!!
How to- steep as a black tea more than once (95-100deg.C, 2-5 mins), or even simmer on the stove top for a full strong brew, and drink with or without milks or sweeteners.....enjoy

About The Tea Catcher
1997-2001 The Tea Catcher lived, travelled, worked and studied in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Italy and the Czech Republic. During this time he drank much tea and visited tea growing regions.
2001-2009 Was spent mostly in Europe working with fine foods and olive oils in Italy, wine in Switzerland and tea in Prague. It was here in the cold winter months that The Tea Catcher passion was ignited. Much time was spent in the many tea rooms found all over the Czech Rep., drinking, learning and assisting, and also with Tea Mountain(.cz) as his business began and grew.
2010-today on return to Australia, The Tea Catcher seed, planted years ago, began its’ growth, leading to the purveyor of “the finest teas and accoutrements, sourced worldwide” that you see today. New teas, pots etc are constantly being chased, studied, sampled and ordered to bring the freshest, best and most interesting to you as soon as possible. Watch this space…..!
